PROBLEM STATEMENT
Potholes and other related road damage is reportedly costing Americans an average of $3 Billion a year.
Current system for reporting road damage relies on civilian reporting to notify the local government of road hazards, which is outdated
Our solution is to create a process of reporting and assessing road damage to increase the efficiency of the road repair system of local agencies

DELIVERABLES
A Lidar and camera equipped device that can be mounted on a vehicle and is capable of detecting road damage
Software that takes the data collected by the device and depicts on a map where the damage is and when the data was collected
Software that will analyze road damage data using deep learning and generate a report that can be filtered by the severity of the damage
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Scan the road and detect changes in road terrain
Take pictures each time a change is detected
Confirm damage using our deep learning software
Geotag, timestamp, and generate report
Necessary equipment and software required:
SICK Tim 781 Lidar
